Getting things started...

Hello!

Just getting this thing started! I tried blogging once in college. I went to Culinary School in Chicago, and I tried to post photos and reviews of what we made every week. It was fun at first, but was difficult to keep up with! Going to be more dedicated to this one for sure! I'm sure it will be much easier without the pressures of classes, making new friends, and learning to navigate a completely new city on my shoulders.

A little something about me? I'm from a tiny town in Central Illinois. I recently got married on June 13, 2009 to my wonderful husband, Colton. He is a firefighter who shares a love for all things vintage with me. He actually got me started on etsy. Now he claims to be my "manager". I don't know what I would do without him!

I opened up an etsy shop in August 2009. I love it! It started out as a "hobby", to keep me occupied when Colton would work 24 hour shifts every three days. However, now it has become an addiction. It's a good thing I am only a part time cake decorator so I can feed this addiction as much as I can!

I love browsing, shopping, chatting with other etsiers, tweeting, crafting, listing, packaging, and shipping items on etsy. I will not only be showing some of my new favorite items from my shop, but also some great finds from other sellers (handmade and vintage)! Occasionally, I will throw in something extra just for fun. There will be giveaways and sales every now and then, too! So it's good to follow or check back in.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read! More exciting posts coming soon!
